Gramin Shiksha Kendra has an ongoing Internship Programme which has been designed for young people pursuing a career in education, science or any of the social development streams, to enable them to gain field level experience and understanding of education and community development.
Interns should commit to a minimum period of two months to the programme. Internships can be up to 6 months long.

Interested candidates should demonstrate a sense of commitment to experiencing, learning from, and contributing to the initiatives at Gramin Shiksha Kendra. The minimum qualification for candidates would be completion of year 2 of an undergraduate programme. Candidates should have good research, analytical thinking and writing skills and good written and oral communication skills in Hindi and/or English.

A detailed plan for the internship will be prepared depending on the time available and the interest of the intern and existing priorities of GSK. However as part of the internship they will be expected to-
i.     Undertake short studies
ii.     Document initiatives undertaken
iii.     Provide support to existing teams
iv.     Assist in administration or coordination of existing programmes

A minimum of 30 % of the time of the internship will be spent in a village where Gramin Shiksha Kendra has its programmes and at least a week in any one of the schools managed by GSK.
